In the same race, winner of the second stage on 20-07-2001 was Jeremy Hunt (GBR/BIG), not Andrew Hunt (CAN/elite 2).

You missed one. Smile

And here are new ones: according to the UCI, nr. 8 in the final general classification of the Brixia Tour (27-29 July 2001) was Seweryn Zenon Kohut instead of Slawomir Kohut (both POL/AMO).

Nr. 8 in the Kettler Classic-Südkärnten (04-08-2001) was Peter Pichler (AUT/elite 2), not Michael Pichler (AUT/elite 2). Michael was just 19 years old at that time.

Nr. 6 in the Havant International GP (05-08-2001) seems to be Patrick Moriarty (IRL/elite 2), instead of Eugene Moriarty (IRL/elite2). According to the UCI and confirmed by the story on www.cyclingnews.com, Eugene abandoned in this race.

Nr. 4 in the Irish National Championships I.T.T. (18-08-2001) should be Jonathan Dempsey (born 13-11-1967) instead of John Dempsey (08-11-1979), according to the archives of www.cyclingnews.com and this site: http://www.castlebar.ie/clubs/cycling/pages/news.htm

According to the UCI, Mikhaylo Khalilov (UKR) was nr. 5 in the final general classification of the Tour de Bulgaria (03-09 September 2001). That seems more logical than Ahmed Mohamed Khaled from Egypt, who is now mentioned as nr. 5.

Winner of the second stage in the Brandburg Rundfahrt (12-16 September 2001) was Andre Kalfack (GER/elite 2), not Konstantin Kalinin (UZB/elite 2), who was only 16 years old at that time.

Nr. 25 in the GP de Fourmies (16-09-2001) was Paolo Valoti (ITA/ALS), not Gianluca Valoti (ITA/ALA) which is confirmed by the UCI and several other websites. According to http://www.cyclingarchives.com/ritfiche.php?ritid=27006#first , Gianluca's Alexia Alluminio-team did not start in this race.

The same correction is needed in Paris-Tours (07-10-2001), where Paolo Valoti finished 70th and not Gianluca Valoti. Also in this race, the Alexia Alluminio-team did not start.

Another one: none of the top-10 finishers in the Tour of the Peak (16-09-2001) did get any CQ-points.

A correction is needed in the ranking of the Duo Normand (23-09-2001). Nrs. 8 were Jonas Olsson and Petter Renäng (both SWE/CRE), but they are not mentioned. Thomas Voeckler and Christophe Kern were nrs. 9 and Franck Pencolé and Alexandre Chouffe finished 10th.

Doblo Copacabana GP Fides (08-11 November 2001):
1) Can you please mention that all results from Jario Perez Suarez (COL) are deleted because he tested positive on doping/cocaine? Otherwise he had won the team time trial, the 2nd stage, the general classification and was leader after the first three stages.
2) The winners of the team time trial in stage 1 received 4 CQ-points each. Isn't that too much?

Tour of South Chinese Sea (25-31 December 2001):
I think the leader after stage 5 was Kam-Po Wong from Hong Kong (winner of 3 stages, the general classification and leader after stages 2, 3, 4 and 6), and not Ah Thiam Wong from Malaysia.

National Championships Kazakhstan, road race 01-07-2001:

5. unknown
6. unknown
7. unknown
8. Ildar Yunussov
9. Kairat Baigudinov
10. Denis Touptchenko

The UCI-code for the nr. 10, Denis Touptchenko, is UCI19760430. In your database there is a Danis Tupzenko from 31-05-1976. I'm not sure if this is the same person and if so, what's his right date of birth. Maybe Hans can help, again :-) ?

I think there is no doubt that Denis TOUPTCHENKO and Danis TUPZENKO are the same rider.
For instance, in the results of the ITT Championships of 2001 you find for 5th place the first spelling in the UCI result and the second spelling in CQ. Concerning the correct spelling and code I suggest to stick to the one used in later years, like for instance for his registration with the Team Orbea in 2003: Danis TUPZENKO, KAZ19760531

National Championships Luxemburg, R.R. (01-07-2001)

Only 8 riders finished the race. The now mentioned numbers 9 and 10, Serge THEISSEN (LUX19700517) and Jean-Marie RODERICH (LUX19750212) were the numbers 9 and 10 in the time trial and should not be rewarded with CQ-points.

National Time Trial Championships Great Britain, 48 km in Leicestershire, 08-09-2001

Based on the results by UCI and Cyclingnews.com Carlos RIISE (GBR19641016) and Matthew BOTTRILL (GBR19770628) finished in the same time and were both classified as nr. 5. There was no nr. 6. Both riders should be rewarded with 10 CQ-points instead of 11 and 9, I guess.

Result:

1. Stuart DANGERFIELD (GBR19710917) in 1h 05’46”
2. Michael HUTCHINSON 9GBR19731120) at 1’41”
3. Julian RAMSBOTTOM (GBR19720203) at 2’39”
4. Julian WINN (GBR19720923) at 2’46”
5. Carlos RIISE (GBR19641016) at 3’00”
and Matthew BOTTRILL (GBR19770628) at 3’00”
7. Richard PREBBLE (GBR19670817) at 3’13”
8. John STOLLERY (GBR19730513) at 3’40”
9. Mark ATKINSON (GBR19721210) at 3’46”
10. James GILFILLAN (GBR19781017) at 3’47”
