Corrected. But apparently the results still don't correspond to the results on www.cyclingnews.com:

Who's third, Sergio Dominguez or Fernando Serrano?

PostSubject: Tour d'Egypt   Results 2002 EmptyFri Jan 29, 2010 2:57 pm

Just by chance I came across the CQ results of the Tour d'Egypt 2002 and noticed that stages 5 and 6 were won by Hassan MALEKI from Iran and stage 7 by a Hassan MALEKIMIZAN from Turkey. That seems too much of a coincidence.
My guess is that it is the Iranian rider who won all three stages and that his full name is Hassan MALEKI MIZAN, maybe family of Ramin MALEKI MIZAN currently riding for Tabriz Petrochemical. The Turk with the same name does probably not exist.
LeonCQ wrote:
You're right. The "turkish rider" also appeared in some other 2001 and 2002 results. I think Maleki has been riding for a Turkish team. All changed now.

Nr. 9 in the final general classification of the Giro del Capo (05-09 March 2002) was Ian McLeod (RSA/HSB), not Cameron McLeod (RSA/HSB).

Nr. 6 in the Trofeo Pantalica (09-03-2002) was Francesco Casagrande (ITA/FAS), not Filippo Casagrande (ITA/FAS).

The CQ-points in the final general classification of the GP Mosqueteiros-Rota do Marques (20-23 March 2002) aren't right. Winner Rui Agostinho Do Couto only gets 15 points, instead of 100. Nrs. 2 to 15 don't get CQ-points at all ...

Also the top 5-finishers in the National Championship I.T.T. of Argentina (23-03-2002) didn't get their CQ-points.

Nr. 69 in Milano-Sanremo (23-03-2002) seems to be Nicolas Jalabert instead of Laurent Jalabert. According to results on other websites Laurent abandoned in this race after he started being non-fit. Confirmation in this pressrelease: http://www.standaard.be/artikel/detail.aspx?artikelid=NFLI27032002_009

So Laurent did not start in the Ronde van Vlaanderen (07-04-2002), you can check the startlist on the internet. Nicolas did start, and became nr. 21 in this race instead of Laurent.

Nr. 45 in the final general classification of the Setmana Catalana (25-29 March 2002) seems to be David Vazquez Garcia (ESP/REL) instead of Jose Manuel Vazquez Palomo (ESP/REL), according to the results by UCI and Cyclingnews.com. This last website also doesn't mention Vazquez Palomo on the startlist, so it lookes pretty certain.
