This result has been on the UCI site since a long time but what has been and still is missing, is an integrated Elite and U23 result.

| There are still two posts pending in the Rider Data topic which actually concern National Championships. - Hans wrote:

There might be other 'countries' with the same casus, so we have to check the UCI federations list in order to find these championships. btw: we might keep the results of these non-NCh's, but only as a special race, without CQ-points.
Just an observation. As the championships of the Faroe Islands have been changed to the status of a special race under the Danish flag, the race should just be called Championships Faroe Islands, without the prefix "National”. - Hans wrote:

You probably refer to a post back in August 2014 (page 18) concerning the status of Curaçao after the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles.

- The choice CQ has to make is:
follow what the people of Curaçao apparently would like to see, recognition as a sovereign country also in sports, and make the changes as I suggested, or follow the IOC/UCI rules and make the same changes but, rather than correcting the codes of certain riders to CUR (and SMX), change them to NED instead.
In the latter case, the National Championships of Curaçao of 2011 and later should be deleted from the database, as you cannot have a national champion of a country that does not exist… (You could of course keep the results as “Championships of Curaçao”, a Dutch NE race without CQ points) Furthermore, Curaçao should be removed from the list of countries in the choice menus for rider nationality, race origin etc…
It is up to you: follow sentiments or rules. You have at the time chosen for the first option but if you want to give Curaçao the same treatment as the Faroe Islands then all CUR riders in the database should become NED (same for the two riders of Dutch Saint Maarten) and the Championships become NE or special event without CQ points.
The UCI site gives the “list” of national federations in the form of a world map with flags you can click on: http://www.uci.ch/inside-uci/organisation/national-feds/#!EU There seem to be two other cases in the Caribbean of islands without their own federation: British Virgin Islands (contrary to the US Virgin Islands) and Anguilla, both British overseas territories. Another country without cycling federation (nor a worldwide acknowledged status as an independent country) is Western Sahara. The two riders in the data base with this nationality are in the UCI results with a Moroccan license.
Edit The situation of the British Virgin Islands is not clear because, although not appearing on the UCI site, they do have their own Olympic Committee and Cycling Federation: http://bviolympics.org/ Also, in the UCI result of the Pan American Championships 2011 you find Darel CHRISTOPHER with code IVB….

In addition to Faroe>DEN, we deleted Curacao, Dutch St Maarten (both NED), Anguilla (GBR) and West Sahara (MAR) as a seperate country. Concerning the British Virgin Islands, we'll keep them as a country, for the time being.

Just a suggestion about Curaçao: From 2011 to 2013 Marc de Maar rode with a Curaçao licence and wore a special national champion jersey. So his status was recognized by the UCI until he switched back to a Dutch licence in 2014. Here is my suggestion: in 2011, 2012 and 2013 only, the Curaçao Championships may be renamed Curaçao National Championships again.
