So to sum up: There is no such thing as a Faroese license since the Faroe Islands are not recorded in UCI.
All Faroese riders have a Danish license.
The Faroese championships are like regional championships within the UK (Welsh, Scottish) or Italy (Veneto, Toscana etc). Denmark has regional championships (West and East) and the Faroese Championships can be regarded as yet another regional Danish championship.
So either keep him as a Faroe Islands national and keep the championship in or make him and all other Faroe Islands nationals Danish nationals and delete the championships.

Yes, it seems that this is what we have to decide about. I am leaning towards removing Faroe as a country, but let our leading data management guys have the final decision.

You have at the time chosen for the first option but if you want to give Curaçao the same treatment as the Faroe Islands then all CUR riders in the database should become NED (same for the two riders of Dutch Saint Maarten) and the Championships become NE or special event without CQ points.

There seem to be two other cases in the Caribbean of islands without their own federation: British Virgin Islands (contrary to the US Virgin Islands) and Anguilla, both British overseas territories.
Another country without cycling federation (nor a worldwide acknowledged status as an independent country) is Western Sahara.
The two riders in the data base with this nationality are in the UCI results with a Moroccan license.

The situation of the British Virgin Islands is not clear because, although not appearing on the UCI site, they do have their own Olympic Committee and Cycling Federation: http://bviolympics.org/
Also, in the UCI result of the Pan American Championships 2011 you find Darel CHRISTOPHER with code IVB….

No, 19940101 is not the birthdate of Valens NDAYISENGA. For him, as for many people in African countries subject to ethnic and civil wars in the last decades of the last century, no birth record exists.
