Don't know your policy on retiring riders. Their are a lot of riders in database who are retired but are still on active. Some riders who have no results/teams for years. S (not on only on CQ but in international races ). Like for instand the following riders with year of last team/result:

There was no systematic approach for putting riders in the database on Retired.
The status of a rider was only changed when it was announced that he was stopping.
CQ has now put a system in place whereby all riders that have no CQ result, nor a registration with an UCI team, in the last four years, are automatically put on Retired. That means at the moment after the end of 2018.
That resulted in a change of status for about 15000 riders.
At the start of each year this will be updated. Specific cases of ‘known’ riders may still be entered separately earlier.

Thanks for answering. I noticed that their was not a policy when I look further into the riders. Seems like a clear and good solution to "clean up" the number of active riders.

Last year the Vuelta a Andalucia was, due to Covid restrictions in February, exceptionally organised in May.
Points earned by Tolhoek (and many others) in Andalucia in May 2021 have been deleted after the 2022 edition, held this year again at the normal date in February.

It seems all to be one and the same rider with small spelling differences due to the transliteration from Amheric.
Remaining question: what is his birthday and UCI ID.
In the UCI database he appears actually three times:
10060128765 and 10075188825, both with dob 27/10/1991 and 10011129621, with (still another) dob 30/11/1994.
For CQ we will change to the one used by the UCI in the African CC this year.
