A question about the Profel Continental Team. Don't you think that this squad will finally carry on as Continental Team as there's one free spot in Belgium after the demise of the Track & MTB Team, "swallowed" by Qin C.T ?
Viewing their website (and the transfer list on WBV site), it appears that the team keeps the name Profel - Colossi Continental Team for 2010 and announce numerous newcomers as Björn Coomans, Jarno Van Mingeroet, Lars Vierbergen, Sven Wielandt, etc.

Somebody who live in Belgium and know one of the riders of the team told me that Profel won't be a continental team anymore because of the money to give to apply for a continental license. He said that they prefer to race more in Belgium and France.

(It changed maybe, I don't know)

No rumours about it in the Belgian press, But indeed, the federation approved 10 CT applications, of which 2 now have merged, so the're might be one extra CT.
The articles I've seen don't mention if there were any rejections, beside the 10 approvals. Concerning Profel, I guess Bobcatsman is right.

It appears that you were right, Profel won't be a Continental team next year.

So, Björn COOMANS (Palmans), Lars VIERBERGEN (Van Vliet) and this year Profel riders BLUEKENS, DINGEMANS, GIAUX and ONGENA Bros. are all going back to Elite-2 ranks.
