Double riders

There are two riders with the same date of birth, nationality and UC ID but different Rider IDs:

ADOMAITIS Rojus - 27084, latest CQ ranking 3157

ROJUS Adomaitis - 30225, latest CQ ranking 1588


There are a number of other riders (around 15) that occur twice in CQ statistics, for example

MORTAGH Conor and MURTAGH Conor

Some doubles have disappeared since I last checked but I strongly suspect that the above riders are in fact doubles - as well as ADOMAITIS Rojus in my previous post.

Another question: Ralph BRICEÑO appeared in the CQrankings of 30/6/2019 but does not occur in the regular list of riders!!

Typos when entering the UCI codes in the database.

This was a wrong entry for number 5 of the RR Championships 2018 of El Salvador.
The correct 5th was HERRERA Jesus Gustavo.

Both finished top 10 in the same stage of the Vuelta a Cuba 2008.

The biggest names I noticed were
(manually traced, didn't do full query yet)
(with resp. new & old name - where new being used in the 1/1/2024 ranking and old being used in 2023 or earlier...):

Thanks for your post Hasse.

These riders are not double in the database but their names have, after their original entry, at one point in time been corrected or completed. These corrections change also retroactively the results and rankings but not the downloads of the rankings of previous years, as those are ‘frozen’.

For instance, in the course of 2023 the first name of Dunbar has been changed in the database from his call name Eddie into his official first name Edward, under which he is registered with the UCI. In the zip of the ranking of 31/12/2021 you find Eddie Dunbar on 424, but if you create this ranking again today via de CQ Ranking button on the homepage you find Edward Dunbar on 423. The fact that he appears in a slightly different position is because the newly calculated ranking also takes into account DQs of riders which have been pronounced after 31/12/2021, the date of the zip.

If you use the old zip files for your ‘cross tables’ you will find indeed more differences as many names have been corrected over the years, in particular Spanish language names in which second family and/or first names have been added.

If you find with your cross tables any riders which are really double in the database under different spellings then please let us know and we will correct it.

Last year in Electro team it was Joan Bennassar but not his younger brother Fran...

In the team page it appears Fran now, but in Joan page the data is correct while not showing up in the team page :/

On UCI database rider page  (  https://www.uci.org/rider-details/1301748  )
this one is born 05/01/2004 so could not been contracted with Uijeongbu Cycling Team in 2022, at this time (he was still a junior 2 years ago).

It seems indeed that there are two Sang-min KIMs, with just two weeks difference in age.
