I agree. Seems like the UCI made a mistake with her code.

I've got a question about all those UCI-codes with only the year of birth. I'm doing some random tests and in some cases I only find ages on the internet. Do you use those ages to deduce the year of birth? Personnally I never do that, unless the age is coming from the UCI-site or usacycling. On other sites they often don't use the UCI-way of dealing with ages (age you will get in the current year). So, if you see an age you still have two options for the year of birth.

Yes Filip I do indeed in certain cases use the age given in a startsheet of an English time trial, a team website, a triathlon result or a press article to calculate the year of birth. I agree that there is a 50/50 risk, or 75/25 if it comes from a publication in March, that the result is one year off.
I fully agree that this is a debatable approach and can understand that you prefer to have an exact year, as is the case when using the ages given by UCI and usacycling, or nothing at all.

Thanks for the explanation. I agree both approaches have pros and cons, but personally I always tend to maximize the correctness of the information on CQ. So, in this case, I'd prefer to keep the year of birth blank, even though the mistake would never be big.

Maybe the other ones also have an opinion about this?

Nevertheless, I appreciate all the work you are doing. Of course I won't remove the codes that have been found this way until now, but maybe we should make some clear rules on how to deal with this in the future.

Found for new entry Elizabeth PHILLIPOU (id=7090) in the start list of the Australian Championships 2012 exactly the same date of birth as has Elizabeth GEORGOURAS (id=4916): 27/06/1981.
Could be a coincidence but looks more like a marriage and name change.
