The comment added on the on the CQ team page of Total - Direct Energie is:
“From April 2019, team Direct Energie has Total as their new main sponsor, and is named Total - Direct Energie”.
The story is slightly different.
Total is not the new main sponsor but the name of the main sponsor, Direct Energie, has changed into Total Direct Energie.
Total, since April 2018 majority shareholder of Direct Energie, has in April 2019 merged Direct Energie with another Total affiliate, Total Spring, and has called the merged company “Total Direct Energie”.
This gives a new company logo, new company colours and a new publicity campaign.
The renaming of the cycling team is only part of this.

The correct team name is therefore Total Direct Energie (no hyphen) and the correct comment:
“In April 2019, the name of the main sponsor Direct Energie has been changed into Total Direct Energie.”

When more than one sponsor name is included in the official team name, CQ put a hyphen between these sponsor names, contrary to the UCI who are totally inconsequent in this matter: sometimes a hyphen (-), sometimes a stroke (/) and most of the time nothing.
In this case Rad-Net (a German cycling website) is the name sponsor of the team and Rose the bike supplier, hence a hyphen between the two sponsor names.

It seems there's a mish-mash between Maloja Pushbikers and Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal teams within the transfers 2020 page.
