Update of the UCI Sanctions table of 05.12.2016
MENDES Raphael Mesquita (Prov. Suspended > Suspended)
Change second sentence of his Rider Comment to: He was suspended by the UCI for 4 years, until 22 October 2019.

Jose Alfredo AGUIRRE INFANTE (#26853), a new entry in the CQ database after his 16th place in the GP de San José, has just terminated a two year doping suspension, not for use but for possession of doping products. He is still listed in the UCI Sanctions table.

You could add the following rider comment:
Jose Alfredo AGUIRRE was found in possession of EPO and HGH at the airport of Alicante on arrival from Mexico on 4 April 2014. In October 2014 he was suspended by the UCI for 2 years, until 30 October 2016.

Strange decision indeed. Maybe he was only tested in the last stage of P-N and in the 1st stage of Catalunya? Anyway: he is skipped from both GC's, so we will follow that decision.

According to the UCI Sanctions table his positive test dates from 23 February, well before the start of Paris - Nice.
It was probably an out of competition test, because he did not participate in any race that day.

He was already suspended for two years in 2010, so this time it will be for life I presume.
Add to his Rider Comment: Ahad KAZEMI tested again positive, this time for Testosterone, in the Tour of Iran Azarbaijan on 13 May 2016. He was provisionally suspended by the UCI and is awaiting a verdict.

His Rider Comment has been updated and he has been added in the Doping Document, but on his Rider Page his status still needs to be changed.

ALVAREZ PANIAGUA Oscar Mauricio (Prov Suspended > Suspended)
Change second sentence of his Rider Comment to: He was suspended by the UCI for 4 years, until 16 June 2020.

Update of the UCI Provisional Suspensions table of 10.01.2017:
TORRELLA GOMEZ Francisco - id#3281 (Prov Suspended)
Rider Comment: Francisco TORRELLA tested positive for EPO on 3 September 2016 in the Spanish Masters Road Championships in Reinosa. He was provisionally suspended by the UCI and is awaiting a verdict.

The suspension of Luca PAOLINI has ended on January 6th, so his status can be changed from Suspended to Retired.

On Vuelta al Tachira history page Jimmi Briceño should be fired from the GC winner seat. Carlos Galviz is the official winner for this edition on UCI site.

This is just one case out of a long list of old doping DQ’s still to be entered in the database….

Second sentence Rider Comment: He was suspended by the UCI for 7 years, until 15 February 2023.

They all lose their results in the Vuelta a Costa Rica 2015.
Josue GONZALEZ and Paul BETANCOURT are also DQ in the Tour de San Luis 2016.

Josue GONZALEZ should also be deleted from stage 9 of the Vuelta a Costa Rica 2015 and the status of all four Costa Ricans is still to be changed to “Suspended”.

Luis SABLON tested positive for Prednisone and Prednisolone in the GP de la CANBT on 26 March 2016. He was suspended by the French Federation for 1 year, until 22 May 2017.

BOYEAU Fendley (id 21871)
Fendley BOYEAU tested positive for Heptaminol in the GP de la CANBT on 26 March 2016. He was suspended by the French Federation for 6 months, until 7 January 2017.

BURMANN LITTIN Wolfgang Miguel: Elite-2 (Prov. Suspended)
Wolfgang BURMANN tested positive for Amfetamine, Modafinil and Ephedrine on 18 September 2016 in the Volta a Galicia. He was provisionally suspended by the UCI and is awaiting a verdict.

TORRELLA GOMEZ Francisco: Prov.Suspended > Suspended
He was suspended by the UCI for 4 years, until 2 September 2020.

MONTENEGRO ADARO Jorge Martin: Elite-2 > Suspended
Jorge MONTENEGRO tested positive for ephedrine on 16 July 2016 in the Vuelta a Zamora. He was suspended by the UCI for 1 year, until 15 July 2017.

BARTOLI Claudio (id 3052): Elite > Suspended
His rider comment states that his suspension ended in 2014 but in fact he is suspended until 26/03/2017.
New Rider Comment: In 2008 Claudio BARTOLI was suspended for 6 years by the Italian federation, for his role in the Oil for Drugs case, until 20 June 2014. In violation of his suspension he participated on 27 March 2011 in the Crono Squadra della Versilia in Forte dei Marmi. The Italian federation suspended him for a new period of 6 years from this date, until 26 March 2017.
(Interesting detail: The full name of the race is Crono Squadra della Versilia Michele Bartoli. Assume Claudio just wanted to make his cousin Michele a pleasure.)

Update of 27.02.2017 of the UCI Sanctions table.
Alex Norberto CANO ARDILA tested positive for Furosemide on 28 September 2016 after the 6th stage of the Clasico RCN.
The UCI gave him a warning and disqualified him from the result of the stage.
He did not get any suspension. (Interesting detail: He fell in stage 7 and abandoned)

KAZEMI SARAI Ahad: Prov. suspended > Suspended
Last sentence of his Rider Comment: He was suspended by the UCI for 8 years, until 12 May 2024.

So, we've got the answer of the non presence of Brazda and Kovar into Elkov - Author roster...

Both suspended for 4 years (til 01/01/2021) for positive out competition control (Stanolozol & Clenbuterol) on 12/11/2016.

Two new Provisional Suspensions in the update of 13/04/2017 of the UCI table:

WACKER Eugen (id 770)
Eugen WACKER tested positive for Meldonium on 2 March 2017 after the Road Race of the Asian Cycling Championships. He was provisionally suspended by the UCI and is awaiting a verdict.

AVERIN Maksym (id 6178)
Maksym AVERIN tested positive for Meldonium on 10 March 2017 during the Istrian Spring Trophee. He was provisionally suspended by the UCI and is awaiting a verdict.

EMAMI Rahim (Prov. suspended > Suspended)
Last sentence of his Rider Comment: He was suspended by the UCI for 7 years and 6 months, until 24 May 2024.

Giovanny BAEZ tested positive for CERA on 31 July in the Tour de la Guadeloupe. He was suspended by the FFC for 4 years, until 25 September 2020.

BERNAL GARCIA Jose Daniel
Jose BERNAL tested positive for CERA on 31 July 2016 in the Tour de la Guadeloupe. He was suspended by the FFC for 4 years, until 28 September 2020.
